A lifelong Wildcat, Drew Welch has called Splendora home from the very beginning. He attended Splendora ISD from kindergarten through graduation, where he found community, purpose, and pride in being part of something bigger than himself. During his years at Splendora High School, he was active in FFA, showing animals and learning responsibility, and he took to the baseball field, where teamwork and dedication helped shape his character.
After graduating in 2019, Drew followed his passion for helping others by attending the fire academy. He now serves as a firefighter for East Montgomery County, working throughout the area almost every day. Living and working in his hometown allows Drew to continue giving back to the community that helped shape who he is today.
Drew and his fiancé are proud parents to two daughters, ages 3 and 1, who they cherish deeply. He looks forward to the day when his girls get to experience the same small-town spirit and strong sense of community that make Splendora ISD so special.
For Drew, being a Wildcat means being part of a family and a community that always sticks together. It’s about pride, service, and supporting one another, values he carries with him every day, both in and out of uniform.
