When asked what it means to be a Wildcat, David replied, "As an FFA officer, showing livestock and competing in athletics during my time at SISD, I quickly learned the pride associated with being a Wildcat and being a part of the community. The support that SISD receives from the community shows what it means to be a Wildcat. Once a Wildcat, always a
Wildcat. I’m proud to have nieces and nephews learning that same pride through SISD.“

Stacey Trammell Swanson graduated from Splendora High School in 1996. During her school years, she was involved in many different activities and was a cheerleader for six years. Her senior year she was voted “Miss Splendora High School.” Stacey attended Kingwood College for two years and then went on to study business and finance at Sam Houston State University. She graduated with her Bachelor of Business Administration in 2001 and became the first person in her family to earn a college degree. Stacey worked as a bank teller while putting herself through college. Upon graduation, she landed a wonderful job in the accounting department at Woodforest National Bank. Although she was only there for six years, she learned so much about accounting and business operations. In 2008, she seized an opportunity to work closer to home and spend more time with her family. She accepted the Accountant position at Splendora ISD, where she remains to this day. Stacey assists with the budget, keeps track of all funds flowing into and out of the district, and maintains its financial records. “Working for the school district has been a dream come true. I love being close to home and involved in my children’s education. It is rewarding to be part of the bigger picture…. helping to Cultivate Exceptional People.”
When asked what does it mean to be a SHS Wildcat, Stacey replied, “Being a Wildcat is having a sense of community. It means coming home after being gone for years and feeling an instant connection. It is about school pride and memories that last a lifetime.”
