Federal Programs

The Federal Programs Department provides resources and support to help every student succeed. The department coordinates federal, state, and local programs and funding, including programs under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) and State Compensatory Education. Through collaboration with our schools, families, and community, we help ensure resources are used to meet student needs, support academic achievement, and create opportunities for success.

Campus and District Improvement Plans

  • Title I, Part A provides additional funding to schools with higher concentrations of students from low-income families. These funds support programs, resources, and instructional strategies designed to improve academic achievement and help all students meet state academic standards.

    Title I schools may operate a Schoolwide or Targeted Assistance program, both of which use evidence-based practices to address identified student needs.


    All Splendora ISD campuses are operating school-wide Title I programs.

  • Title I, Part C supports eligible migratory students who may face challenges related to frequent moves, language and cultural barriers, social isolation, and other circumstances associated with a migratory lifestyle. The program provides resources and support to help students succeed academically and successfully transition to postsecondary education or employment.

  • Title II, Part A provides funding to improve the quality and effectiveness of teachers, principals, and other school leaders. Funds may be used to support professional development, strengthen instructional practices, recruit and retain effective educators, and help ensure all students have access to high-quality instruction.

  • Title III, Part A provides funding to support English learners and immigrant students as they develop English language proficiency and achieve academic success. The program helps ensure English learners have the resources and support needed to meet the same challenging state academic standards as all students.

  • Title IV, Part A provides funding to support student success and academic enrichment. The program focuses on providing students with access to a well-rounded education, promoting safe and healthy learning environments, and using technology to improve academic achievement and digital literacy.

  • Compensatory Education provides additional funding and support for students identified as at risk of not meeting academic expectations. The program provides services designed to improve academic achievement, support high school completion, and reduce disparities in student performance.
