Kori Anderson is a graduate from Splendora High School’s Class of 2014. Kori graduated with 21 college credit hours and continued her education at Sam Houston State University as an Interdisciplinary Agriculture Major with a Minor in Secondary Education. She graduated in May of 2017 with a Bachelors of Science degree. She began her teaching career a Tarkington High School as an Ag Science teacher, but has found her way back home and will now be an Ag Science teacher at SHS. She and her fiancé, Cody Long, are both Splendora natives who were raised in the community. “I am very excited to be back home and give back to the community that gave so much to me, “ she said. During her time at SHS, Kori was instrumental in building the girls’ golf program (and still holds the record for placing first in District all four years in high school), was an involved FFA member, and named Miss SHS her senior year.
When asked what does it mean to be a SHS Wildcat, Kori replied, “During my years at SHS, I was given the key components to succeed inside and outside of the classroom. The amount of support and ‘family feeling’ I received at SHS was astronomical! Being a Wildcat means to support and encourage others through both the good and the bad. Being a Wildcat Alumni is an honor and something I will always be proud of.”
