Ashley Ray Cranney

Ashley Cranney is a proud graduate of Splendora High School in 2001. She then attended Tarleton State University her freshman year but moved home to Splendora and commuted to Sam Houston State University. Ashley graduated from SHSU in May 2005. She made a brief tour in the corporate world where she gained ample knowledge and experience in customer service and management. Ashley started her teaching career in January 2009 at Splendora Jr. High in 8th grade Science. Over the course of 7 years in the classroom, she also taught Biology and Pre-AP Biology. In 2015, Ashley became the Secondary Science Instructional Specialist where she impacted science instruction on both Splendora Jr High and High School Campuses. In 2016, she graduated with her Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. In 2018, Ashley was asked to be the interim Assistant Principal at Splendora High School. She was then hired as one of the Assistant Principals of HS for the ‘18-’19 school year. This year, Ashley has shifted her administrative duties and focus at SHS by entering the new role of Dean of Instruction. Ashley is very thankful for the love and support of her husband Christopher and her bright and beautiful children Emma and Ethan.
When asked what does it mean to be a Wildcat, Ashley replied, "Home, pride, and purpose. I have pride in the work I do to support our teachers as they impart the most significant gift to a child - his education. This work is my passion, and the opportunity to truly impact my home, and the children of our community is a blessing."
J.T. Alford

J.T. Alford graduated from Splendora High School in 2001. During his high school career, he participated in football (team captain for two years), powerlifting (state medalist two years in a row), and track. He was president of his class in his junior high and high school years. He also graduated in the Top 10. J.T. was Mr. SHS, Prom King, Homecoming King, and voted Friendliest in his class.
After earning his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Sam Houston State University in 2006, J.T. coached at Splendora ISD from 2006-2011 at both the junior high and varsity levels. After that, he worked in the oilfield for nine years as a Sales Manager. He is now a partner in an Outdoor Living/Landscaping company named DecoTech Designs. J.T. and his wife Kristy have two children, Brock, 12, and Brynn, 9. They reside in Montgomery, close to all his family.
When asked what it means to be a Wildcat, "Splendora taught me how to treat people, be humble in everything I do, have a work ethic that beats all my competitors, and have pride in where you come from. It is a great day to be a Wildcat!”
