Shaun Landon graduated from Splendora High School in 1994, carrying the Wildcat spirit throughout his life and career. He answered the call to serve shortly after graduation, joining the United States Marine Corps in 1995. Over the next five years, he dedicated himself to duty, honor, and country before transitioning to civilian life in Manassas, Virginia. He met his wife there, and together, they built a strong and loving family over the past 23 years.
In 2001, Shaun continued his service by enlisting in the U.S. Army. During his six-year tenure, he deployed to Iraq in 2003 as part of the Iraqi invasion, demonstrating resilience and leadership in combat. After leaving the Army in 2007, he began a distinguished career in the defense industry, first with Lockheed Martin, where he worked on the VH-71 Presidential Helicopter program until its cancellation in 2009. He then joined Northrop Grumman, contributing to various classified programs before transitioning in 2018 to a contractor role supporting the Intelligence Community at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in Chantilly, Virginia.
Currently, Shaun serves as a systems engineer specializing in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for the acquisition of next-generation spy satellites. His academic achievements include a Bachelor's in Technical Management, an MBA in Information Systems Management, and two Master’s degrees in Accounting and Project Management from DeVry University. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Beyond his professional endeavors, Shaun finds fulfillment in family life on his farm in Culpeper, Virginia, where he and his wife raise their ten children. Despite the miles and years, his connection to Splendora High School and the Wildcat community remains unwavering.
"Being a Wildcat has shaped me in everything I have done and accomplished. The friendships I built at Splendora High School have lasted a lifetime, and the bond we share is something truly special. The Wildcat spirit is about resilience, loyalty, and never forgetting where you come from."
