Dr. Rob Davis (pictured with Brody) is a proud graduate of Splendora High School, class of 1977. He is the great-great-grandson of W. W. and Belle Burrow, one of Splendora's founding families. The Burrow family owned several businesses in downtown Splendora, and their two-story home still stands today in Splendora's Heritage Park.

While in high school, Rob was involved in numerous school activities, including Editor of the district yearbook, "The Wildcat" (the yearbook included elementary through high school and all district departments). Rob recalls how small the district footprint was when he grew up in Splendora. The high school, junior high, and elementary schools were all on the same campus, literally next door to each other. You could stand outside of one school building and see both of the other schools. The high school had only one hallway, and the students and staff all parked in one parking lot.

Rob is also proud to have served the citizens of Splendora as an employee of the Splendora Independent School District. He worked as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal during his time with the district. Rob retired in May 2023 and is enjoying spending time with his grandchildren, two of whom attend Greenleaf Elementary. He preaches for his local church and is the Adjutant for the Eastex Detachment of the Marine Corps League.

When asked what it means to be a Wildcat, Rob replied, "A Wildcat is best described in the definition of integrity: Possessing the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles." He added, "Such includes doing the right thing even when no one is looking."
