Rick Sivley graduated from Splendora High School in 1986 and played in the band all four years in high school. In 1988, Rick enlisted in the United States Army. He served eight years, completing two combat tours - Operation Desert Storm with the 1st Armored Division and the Battle of Mogadishu with the 10th Mountain Division. After being honorably discharged in 1996, Rick returned home to Texas. In 2001, he opened Spring Bolt and Nut Manufacturing. This Houston-based company produces critical bolting for several industries, from NASA and Oil & Gas drilling platforms to amusement park rides. Spring Bolt has been featured in several articles regarding successful lean manufacturing. Rick enjoys boating, fishing with his grandson, and putting country miles on his Harley!

When asked what it means to be a Wildcat, he replied, "One day, my brother Bob and I were driving through Patton Village in the pouring rain and came across a lady we did not know who had slid off the road and needed help. Without hesitating, we got out in the rain and pulled her car from the ditch. She was not hurt and just needed help. The car was undamaged, so she went on her way. I learned from being a Wildcat to do the right thing, help those in need, and treat people like family. My favorite quote is from Gandhi, "Be the change you wish to see in the world."

George Davis is a 1986 graduate of Splendora High School. After graduation, he attended Stephen F. Austin University and graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. George attended medical school at the University of Texas - Houston from 1990-1994, graduating with his Doctorate of Medicine. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Florida program in Jacksonville, Florida, and served as Chief Resident his last year. Since then, Dr. Davis has worked in various Emergency Departments in Texas as a Medical Director and Chief of Staff. He and his wife, Sakina, live in Shenandoah, Texas, and have two adult children.

When asked what it means to be a Wildcat, George said, “Being a Wildcat is about the community. Growing up in a small town and then leaving to work in larger cities made me appreciate the connections that we have to our neighbors and family. Also, being in a small school made me feel like a person, not just a number. Because of the wonderful guidance in high school, I was able to graduate medical school, and now I can serve the community in their time of medical needs.”
